We collect only the personal data we need to fulfil your orders, support you and, if you agree, email you about new rugs. We do not sell your personal data.
Last updated: 21 September 2026. This privacy policy explains how Threada Living Private Limited, trading as Loom & Living ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data, and how we use cookies, when you use https://loomliving.in or contact us. It is written in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them, as applicable.

2. Data we collect
2.1 Depending on how you use the website, we collect:
- identity and contact details: name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address;

- account details: login information, saved addresses and preferences;
- communications: emails, messages, support requests, reviews, and photographs you send us for a claim;

- marketing preferences and your consent records.
2.2 We collect this data directly from you, automatically through your use of the website, and from service providers such as our payment gateway, couriers and advertising platforms.
3. Why we use your data
3.1 We use your data to:
- process, deliver and invoice your orders, and handle returns, cancellations, damage claims and warranty requests;
- verify payments and prevent fraud and misuse;
- provide customer support and communicate about your order;
- comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations, including GST records;

- with your consent, email you about new collections and offers, and show you relevant advertising.
4. Consent and how to withdraw it
4.1 We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you provide data or accept a notice, and for other purposes permitted by law, such as fulfilling an order you asked for or complying with legal obligations.
4.2 You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing support@loomliving.in. Withdrawal does not affect processing done before it. It may mean we can no longer provide some services, such as delivering a pending order.
5. Marketing emails
5.1 We send marketing emails only if you have opted in, for example through the newsletter sign-up. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by writing to us. Order-related messages are not marketing and will continue.
6. Who we share data with
6.1 We share personal data only as needed with:
- Shopify, which provides our online store, checkout and hosting;
- Razorpay Software Private Limited, our payment gateway;
- courier and logistics partners (currently Blue Dart), to deliver and return your orders;
- Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads), Meta (Meta Pixel and advertising) and Pinterest, for analytics and advertising;
- our accountants, IT, cloud and other professional service providers; and
- courts, regulators and government authorities, where the law requires or to protect our legal rights.
6.2 Where a provider acts for us, it is permitted to use your data only to provide its services to us. Some providers, such as advertising platforms, also use data under their own privacy policies.
6.3 If we sell or restructure our business, your data may be transferred to the new owner, who must honour this policy.
7. Transfers outside India
7.1 Some of our providers, including Shopify, Google and Meta, may store or process data on servers outside India. We transfer data abroad only as permitted by the DPDP Act and other applicable law.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
8.1 Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels, tags and local storage. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.
8.2 We use these categories of cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies keep your cart, sign you in, complete checkout, keep the store secure, and remember your region and currency. They are set by Shopify (for example cart, secure_customer_sig and localization). They do not need your consent.
- Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the website. They are set by Google Analytics (for example _ga and ga followed by an ID) and need your consent.
- Marketing and advertising cookies measure our ads and show relevant ads to people who have visited our store. They are set by Meta Pixel (_fbp), Google Ads (_gcl_au) and the Pinterest tag (_pin_unauth, _epik) and need your consent.
8.3 The names above are typical examples. The exact cookies may change as the website and our providers change. Some cookies are set by third parties, who control how they are used under their own privacy policies.
8.4 When you first visit the website, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline analytics and marketing cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the privacy settings link on the website.
8.5 Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off, because the website will not work properly without them. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, which may affect your cart and checkout.
8.6 You can opt out of personalised advertising through your Google Ads settings, Meta ad preferences and Pinterest settings, and you can use Google's browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
9. How long we keep data
9.1 We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above and as required by law, including tax and accounting record-keeping and the warranty period. After that we delete or anonymise it. If you ask us to erase your data, we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.
10. Security
10.1 We use reasonable security safeguards, including access controls and encryption in transit, and we rely on providers that maintain their own security standards. No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify affected people and the authorities as required by law.
11. Your rights
11.1 Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: obtain a summary of the personal data we process and the parties we have shared it with; correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data; ask us to erase your data; withdraw your consent; seek redress of grievances; and nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to do so.
11.2 To exercise a right, email support@loomliving.in from the address on your account. We may need to verify your identity. We aim to respond within 30 days, or sooner if the law requires.
