A bespoke rug begins with a conversation, not a catalogue. Here is what can be shaped — and what we will guide you on, so that the finished rug looks as if it was always meant to be in that room.

Colour & palette
Bring a paint chip, a sofa fabric, a painting you love. We work from your references and confirm the palette with you before any weaving begins.

Weave & material
Hand-knotted for permanence, hand-tufted for plush softness, flatweave for lightness — in wool, jute or other natural fibres. See how each is made.

Design
Begin with your own sketch or moodboard — or take one of our collections (Warp & Weft, Terra, Nomad, Heirloom, Ivory Edit, Monsoon, Constance) and make it yours.

How A Commission Works

Enquire
Tell us about the room and the rug you imagine, using the form below. We reply [within X business days] to arrange a conversation.

Design & confirm
We develop the design and palette with you, and share them for your approval before anything is woven.
- 3
Deposit
A 50% deposit confirms your order and begins production. The balance is due before dispatch.
- 4
Weaving
Your rug is woven to order, by hand. Made-to-order rugs take up to 90 days.
- 5
Delivery
Shipped free across India, and delivered within 5–7 business days of dispatch.

The terms, in plain words.
A bespoke rug is made for you alone, so a few things work differently from our ready-to-ship rugs. We would rather you read them here than discover them later.
Read the full return & refund policy- Deposit & balance
- 50% at order confirmation. The balance is paid before your rug is dispatched.
- Changing your mind
- You may cancel for a full deposit refund until we confirm that production has started. After that, the deposit is non-refundable.
- Final sale
- Because it is made for you, a bespoke rug cannot be returned for change of mind.
- Damage in transit
- If your rug arrives damaged, or is not what you ordered, tell us within 72 hours, with photographs, and we will put it right.
- Made by hand
- Handwork means small variations. Finished dimensions can differ from the specification by up to 3%.

How long does a bespoke rug take?
Made-to-order rugs take up to 90 days. The exact time depends on the size, the weave and the complexity of the design, and we will give you a clear estimate when the design is agreed.
Can you match a colour exactly?
We match as closely as hand-dyeing allows, and confirm the palette with you before weaving begins. Slight variation between dye lots is natural in handmade rugs, and is part of their character.
What sizes can you make?
[Your size range and any limits — e.g. smallest and largest dimensions, whether round and runner formats are available.]
How is the price decided?
[What drives price: size, weave, materials and design complexity. A starting price, if you are comfortable sharing one, builds trust.]
Can I use my own design?
Yes. A sketch, a photograph, a fabric swatch or a moodboard is enough to begin. Email your references to support@loomliving.in after sending your enquiry.
Do you ship outside India?
Not yet. We currently ship across India, free of charge.
